Customer support has agents that do not care about solving the problem at all! And if you buy online, this is the least a company has to provide. For a company to hire such terrible customer support is usually a problem with the owners and how the business is run. They put people in place that prevent actual communication and valuable help to clients! Book Depository only cares about one thing: getting our money and providing terrible support in case anything happens! This is the worst company I ever worked with!

Each customer support agent I talked to kept sending me the same message over and over, not even reading my questions or providing any help! They have a massive lack of value in their business! They don't even have the information they can't provide B2B invoices, only B2C during the purchase process and they do not take responsibility with those clients that had problems due to poor communication on their website!

I used to buy many books from them. My last orders where in DECEMBER and FEBRUARY and i still have not received my books in MARCH 24! I contacted them many, many times and they kept asking me nonsense questions and telling me later on, multiple times that i was sending from a different mail. (I was sending mails from within the account, where i checked and had the orders).

At some point they offered a refund which of course I accepted and later on, the next day, they once again told me that i was sending from a different e-mail! Still waiting for a reply.

order from this company at your peril

order from this company at your peril - i placed an order on 31/05 and 17 days later i am still waiting for the delivery. in the interim i tried to cancel my order but the company did not acknowledge this request. would i ever place another order with them ? bet your bottom dollar never again.

I put a bad review for an order I did not receive from depositorybook (Judit CM) And they used it to put a comment that they would contact me to sort it out. It´s a lie, days later they never contact.
I want my money back.

It’s been 6 months

It’s been 6 months. No updates nothing. I have to keep asking what’s going on and I keep being told to wait. I’ve waited enough to know, I’ve been robbed. I want my money back as I received nothing. Didn’t even get the book. If I at least had the book after these 6 months that would have been better. But nothing and I’m highly upset at this, especially after giving them the benefit of the doubt and waiting this long. After seeing that I’m not the only one having this isssue I couldn’t wait any more. I’ve written to them asking for a refund of which I think I truly deserve. Also would like to add, I really needed the book there and then as it’s part of my course, which I made very clear... and ofcourse they didn’t care at the very least. Not happy at all book depository, false information on delivery and no care for customers.

My last order review

This review is only about the last order. My overall experience with BD is very good. The last order came damaged (not by the delivery). BD quickly sent replacement, but sadly, the condition of the book was even worse. The support said it seems they cannot guarantee quality on this order and therefore returned money. So I don't have the book, but their reaction seems very good. The support seems very useful and BD will not keep your money for damaged or undelivered books. But I can't give 5 star review if I ended up without the book (in good condition) :-)
